Supergrip Sales & Commercial Director, John Price is in the election to join the board at Renewable UK. John has been a key leader within the sector for over 20 years, delivering growth and guidance to assist companies transition further into renewables.
Speaking about the opportunity, John said:
“With over 20 years within the energy sector, I have led the transition from Oil & Gas to renewables as Global Sales Director for JDR, establishing the company as industry leader for subsea array cable supply, termination, and testing services. Following that I spent time with both James Fisher Marine and EDS HV, focussing on servicing of the electrical infrastructure offshore. Now, as Sales & Commercial Director for Supergrip Limited, a Nylacast Group company I have opportunity to lead both Supergrip and Nylacast further into the Renewables sector. Bringing each companies engineering expertise and innovations to the industry.
Having been an active member within the RUK community for many years, undertaking many speaker & panel slots at events I am certain that I can provide even more value to the RUK membership. My previous experiences, and wealth of knowledge within renewables, particularly global offshore wind, will allow me to assist RUK member companies as they transition further to the renewables energy sector.
I am certain that my leadership position within Supergrip, and the Nylacast Group, will offer a unique voice for the supply chain to the wider RUK membership. I will be able to champion innovations and technical expertise found within the UK renewables supply chain and provide a supplier point to view to discussions, supporting UK content by recommending best practice, new technologies and areas where suppliers are driving efficiency to meet the demands of OEMS.
Thank you for taking me into consideration, I hope that you support me in the RUK board voting and look forward to working with the wider RUK team in the future.”
The voting for new board members has now begun, If you are a member of RenewableUK please consider voting for John.
Voting closes 5th July 2021.
