Supergrip deliver Electrical Power Unit (EPU) framework

Supergrip have delivered an electrical power unit (EPU) to a major electrical design and installation equipment provider.

The system is rated to IP64 and was of a bespoke design nature.

Darren Blackburn, director at Supergrip, said “As well as our core product offering, Supergrip also offer our in-house design experience and manufacturing capability to our client. This particular project is a good example of this service. In the initial stages we worked with our client to produce the optimised design of equipment prior to fabricating, load testing and painting the finished product. The EPU housed electric motor power drives, large transformers, control systems, braking resistors and air conditioning. Upon delivery of the product we also supplied a full documentation pack and design general arrangement drawings including stp files to ou client. The frame was delivered on a 4 week schedule from order placement. We are very pleased with the project outcome and look forward to working with our client on future systems. We would be only too pleased to talk to any other client wishing to take advantage of our engineering and manufacturing services”.
